Librarians maintain guides to support students in their academic work and research. The guides signpost to print and ebooks, journals and websites in each major subject area. The guides also give named subject specialists to support researchers.
Google Scholar can be a very useful tool for alerting you to what has been published. Please remember that not all output listed in Google Scholar is available free of charge so you may need to apply for a copy through our Document Delivery Service. Sometimes it can be worth contacting the author who may be able to provide you with a free copy.

A table of contents (TOCs) alert is an alert which will notify you by e-mail or by RSS feed of the articles included in each new issue of a journal title.
You can usually set up a TOCs alert through the publisher's home page for a journal, or use the services listed below.
