Accessibility support from the Library: Support from other departments

Student Enabling Centre

The Student Enabling Centre provides comprehensive support services to disabled students. This includes working with you to provide you with an individually negotiated support programme that may include:

  • Guidance and help with applications for Disabled Students’ Allowances

  • Provision of academic support

  • Provision of specialist support

Enabling Technology

The Student Enabling Centre provides training for students who have received funding towards enabling technology training as part of a Disabled Students’ Allowances award. Training will help you to understand how equipment and software packages can be incorporated easily into your studies.

There are features of software which you have access to which may help you access Library resources more easily - such as having text read aloud or changing colours and fonts.
