About Walk In Access
Walk in access services often provides alumni visiting the library at their former university with an IT account, access to a limited number of University Library e-resources, where the license permits.
SCONUL Access is a scheme which allows many university library users to borrow or use books and journals at other libraries which belong to the scheme.
Document Delivery Service
This service is for requesting books, journal articles, reports and conference proceedings that Staffordshire University Libraries do not hold in stock.
Please note that this service is for Staffordshire University staff and students only .
The university libraries use the British Library Document Supply Service (BLDSS)
The charge for Staffordshire University staff and students will be £5 per item.
To begin with, you will need to register with BLDSS, creating a personal account and also to make an association with Staffordshire University.
You will be able to select and order books for home delivery or request documents for delivery direct to your desktop.

If you wish to order a Thesis – please visit the British Library EThOS web site to search for titles or subjects. This is a self-service provision and payment may be required independently.

RefZone will help you with all your referencing needs throughout your studies at Staffordshire University. This provides access to the Cite Them Right Online resource which will provide you with all the information you need to know to understand what referencing is, how to reference and examples from a selection of referencing styles used at the University.
You might also find it useful to use RefWorks which provides you with your own personal reference management database. You can use RefWorks to record and store references that you have used to support your assignments and create a bibliography online in the University approved styles.
Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Delivering a comprehensive overview of the world's research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research.
Once you have logged in with your university ID, please also register for an individual account, as this gives you access to more personalised features including permissions to save and download searches.
