Managing research data

Research data can be found in many forms and includes the materials and/or information which is created or gathered to underpin your research analysis.  This might be computer-generated data from experiments, survey data and the statistical analysis of this, compilations of historical facts, or collections of artefacts.

There are well established processes and systems to help with this, with particularly strengths in data intensive disciplines.  As the amount of research data grows, especially the amount of data help electronically, the need to ensure that these data management systems and processes are fit for purpose also grows.

The following links provide access to advice to help you plan and manage your research data.
