Reading Lists Online

Tips to Make The Most Of Your List

Decorative

Reading lists online is your interactive student facing platform for all reading list material.

  • Ensure all readings are added to Leganto rather than Blackboard.
  • Be clear as to what students are expected to read. This can be sectioned by weekly teaching or essential and recommended.
  • Keep your reading lists up to date and relevant and use analytics to monitor engagement.
  • Don’t overwhelm your audience and use the system creatively. Make use of the variety of formats available by using journals, articles and videos etc. - this also helps to improve accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Before requesting new resources check the library catalogue thoroughly. New resources should be requested in a timely manner to enable prompt purchasing or suggested alternatives. Please allow 28 days for new resources to be fulfilled (during peak times this may take longer).
  • Remember to tag all new purchase requests. Without a purchase tag and priority tag resources will not be ordered by the Library Team.
  • Digitisation is available and the Reading List Team check for any copyright infringements via Leganto and ensure the resource is available to be used.
  • And most importantly ask for help. The Library Team are here to support you and your students.
