At Staffordshire University many disciplines use Harvard referencing. You can find out more about this in RefZone  on the Information Services webpages.  

Notable exceptions to the use of Harvard are Law and Psychology which use the referencing styles used by practitioners within these disciplines. Law uses OSCOLA and Psychology the APA style. Both are explained in detail if you follow links on the RefZone webpage.

RefWorks is a web tool which provides you with your own personal reference management database. You can use RefWorks to record and store references you found during your research and create in text citations and bibliographies online.

Alternatives to RefWorks include Mendeley and Zotero.

Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network that can help you organize your research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research.

Zotero is a free tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources.
