Online appointments
You can book online appointments using our online booking system. The Academic Skills Team offer a range of appointments to suit your needs.
Option 1 – Book with the Academic Skills Tutor for your subject area
Option 2 – If the person you want to see is not available or you need an appointment on a specific date
Option 1
- Subject librarian or tutor supporting your subject area – by selecting your subject area you will see options for a Librarian and a Study Skills Tutor. Information about the support offered will appear in the first pop up box.
- You then need to choose from the following options:-
- Location - Email or online via MS Teams
- Appointment length
- Select the date and time you would like the appointment
Option 2
- Locations/type
- All locations will appear in the drop-down box:
- Email
- Microsoft Team online discussion
- Area of expertise
- Library Research Skills
- Study Skills
- Digital Skills (Stoke ONLY)
- Following selection you have the option to choose:
- Select the date and time most convenient to you from those displayed
- On the next screen you will see who the appointment is with
Completing the booking form
Once you have selected the date and time for your appointment the booking form is displayed. Please complete this so that the Academic Skills Tutor knows more about your requirements – these need to be completed before your appointment slot can be confirmed.
Confirmation of appointment
An on-screen confirmation will be displayed once the form is successfully submitted. You will also receive an email to the address you used on the booking form.
Face to face appointments
If you have a specific need for a face to face appointment, then please email the team member you wish to meet to check their individual availability. Please do not use the online system to arrange face to face meetings.
