Referencing is a system used in assignments to indicate where ideas, theories, quotes, facts and any other evidence you have used to support your assignments can be found. It is important that you learn to cite your sources correctly within your assignments.
In your subject area you use Harvard Referencing style.
The Cite Them Right Online tool is a great resource to help you get to grips with correct referencing.

Type of Appointment:
Discussion Appointments: These appointments are for you to discuss any areas you feel you might need support in e.g. finding resources, academic writing and more!
Read and Review Appointments: Done via email, you don't even need to attend! Attach your draft assignments, let us know what areas need looking at and wait for the review comments to support and guide you to a better grade.
Referencing: Got a quick query about what goes where? Use the "Referencing" option to get an answer from one of the team.
Writing: Have a query about Spelling, Grammer or Punctuation? Use the "Writing" option to get an answer from one of the team.
Appointments are available Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm. Out of office hours appointments may be available by individual negotiation with specific Academic Skills team members. Just ask!
Several lengths of appointment are available. Standard appointments are 30 minutes. If it is your first appointment, or you feel you need more time, you may book an Extended appointment which will provide an hour's personal tuition. If you book for one type and length of appointment please do not assume that you will be able to swap it for a different type and length at the same date/time.
