Accessibility support

Support from the library

This guide sets out the accessibility support that the Library provides to students both on and off campus. This covers visiting our Libraries and accessing our electronic resources.

There are also links to other support within the University and guidance on some free tools that you may find helpful.

Support from Subject Librarians

There are Librarians for each subject area who can help you find the best resources from our collections for your studies, and help you correctly reference the resources you use within your assignments. You can make an appointment with your Librarian using our online booking system or email us at academicskills@staffs.ac.uk.

Accessing the library

All of our Libraries are fully accessible for most disability requirements, please see the individual pages for each site in the Access to our libraries  section.

As well as print books and journals we have very extensive electronic resources that can be accessed on and off campus and which you can normally adjust to make them more accessible to your needs - such as changing font size, colour or have the text read aloud.  See the page on Accessing Library Resources  for more details.
