by Academic Skills team on 2025-05-28T13:16:00+01:00 | 0 Comments

If you are finishing your studies at University of Staffordshire or are going to be away from campus over the summer, don't forget to bring back your books before you go!

Final Year Students

Make sure to check your library account is clear and bring back any books before you go.

Continuing Students

Remember to return any books you no longer need over the summer period as they can still be recalled during this time. Returning your books not only helps you clear out space but also ensures that other students can benefit from these resources.

Renewing Items
If you are taking books with you, any books on loan will automatically renew every two weeks before they are due back - unless the book has been requested by another library user, or a book has reached the maximum renewals limit of 24 weeks. If one of your books is due back you will receive a courtesy notice to your library account and your University email - so please remember to check these regularly.

Return Books in Person

You can return any books you currently have borrowed via a self-service machine located at any of our campus libraries. They are easy to use and instructions are displayed on screen to show you what to do.

Returning Books by Post

You can also return books by post. We recommend that you use a recorded delivery service with insurance since you will be liable for any loss or damage in the post. University of Staffordshire library books can be returned to the following address:

Library Book Returns, University of Staffordshire Post Room, A11 Cadman Building, University of Staffordshire, College Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 2DE.

Overdue Books

Overdue books will be charged at 50p per day with a cap of £5 per item.

Contact the Library

If you have any questions or if you have any trouble getting your books back to us, you can get in touch with the library via email to discuss the next steps.
