The British Library is continuing to experience a major technology outage, as a result of what has now been identified as a cyber-attack. As a precaution, we recommend that if you have a password for British Library services that you use for other websites or services, that you change it on those accounts.
The outage is affecting the British Library website, online systems and many of its services including British Library On Demand – the document supply service which allows you to search and order content from over 42 million items held in the British Library’s collections, As this disruption is likely to continue for several weeks you may find our Request a Digital Copy service helpful as an alternative way to source material from outside of the Staffordshire University Library collections.
The Request a Digital Copy service is free to use for Staffordshire University students and is designed to fulfil book chapters and article requests quickly, with accepted material available to download within 24 hours on most occasions. Please note that due to copyright restrictions this service is limited to requests for single chapters and articles from a title. Therefore, you cannot use this service to request a whole book.
For more information on our Request a Digital Copy service and how to use the service please read our libguide: https://libguides.staffs.ac.uk/digital-requests
