We will now move to self-service access via Salto at the Shrewsbury campus to improve safety and security for all staff and students.
These updates will be in place from Monday, 28 November 2022.
Please make sure you are:
Access to the Shrewsbury campus for non-cardholders will be via The Learning Centre (the library) entrance and following the link corridor to access the main teaching building. Staff and students can, of course, use The Learning Centre entrance if they wish, and Student Connect is located in the library should students require assistance.
It is extremely important that you look after your access/ ID card and visibly wear it as you move around in our buildings.
If your card is not visible and you are asked by someone if you have it with you, please be courteous and show it to them. After all, they do not know you - and they are simply trying to play their part in keeping everyone safe.
Remember that you can download the free SafeZone app - It is a great way for you to be able to get emergency assistance or to report any security issues that you are not happy about or need help with. The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital security team can be contacted by dialling 3695 from the Shrewsbury telephone system (as this is on the hospital network) or 01743 261000 (switchboard) and ask for security.
