Adding Public Notes

Public notes can be added to individual items to provide instruction or more information visible to all list users.

To add a public note to a new item on the list, navigate to your list in Leganto and select the blue “add items” button at the top of the list.

Find the item you wish to add to your list and follow the normal instructions for adding the item to your list but select the white “Add and edit” button, rather than the blue “Add” button. On selecting this option, the item will be added to your list, but the item information on the right-hand side will expand to allow you to add more information as desired. Typing in the “public note” box will be visible to all list users. Remember to click the save button at the bottom of the item details when you have finished.

If you forget to add a note when adding an item to your list, or need to add it retrospectively, navigate to your list in Leganto. Find the item you wish to add a note to and select the ellipses button on the right (…) in line with the item title. Select “edit item” from the drop-down menu that appears; this will open a detailed item information page on the right-hand side. Typing in the “public note” box will be visible to all list users. Remember to click the save button at the bottom of the item details when you have finished.
