There is an option within Leganto for you to preview your list as students will see it.. This is useful to check how students will see any notes added, to check access to items, or to check any date visibility settings you might have added to items/sections within your list.
To make your list visible to students it needs to be published. Unpublished lists will have a status of Draft and can only be viewed by list creators and collaborators.
By clicking on PUBLISH, you are also notifying the Library that the list is ready for review. A pop-up message is briefly displayed to state that as you click Publish that the list has been sent to the library for review
When a list is published the status of the list as viewed by the Library will also change, notifying staff that you are ready for the list to be reviewed.
NOTE: due to limited staff availability, the Library will only check purchase and digitisation requests.
You may want to hide whole sections or individual items in your list so that students do not see these until the appropriate part of the module. You do this by adding Display from and/or Display To dates.
This can be done as you add a new item or once it is already in your list.
For an new item
For an item already in the list,
Once you have hidden a section or item you should check that this has worked correctly by opening the Student View and confirming the content is not visible.
