Reading Lists Online training guide

Creating a reading list from scratch in Blackboard

To create a new list from scratch within Blackboard, first navigate to your module on Blackboard. Click on the Reading lists online link in the Blackboard navigation.  If there is not already a list associated with your module then you will then be given the option to create a reading list from scratch by selecting the ‘Create it button’. From here, you need to follow the instructions on making a reading list from scratch.

If you had a reading list in Leganto associated with your Blackbaord module in 2021/22 then this should have been rolled-over and associated with the new Blackboard code. Clicking the ‘Reading Lists Online’ link in the course navigation will automatically display the content of this list in the 2022/23 module.

Please contact readinglists@staffs.ac.uk if the list does not link as you expected.

Blackboard Organisations

If you use Blackboard Organisations to support many modules then you can use Reading Lists Online to help you do this by creating a link to a single online reading list - please ensure you add the details of modules covered in the blackboard organisation.

If you need help with this please contact the TILE team or email anshul.lau@staffs.ac.uk
