Elec­trical works af­fect­ing build­ings across Leek Road site – Monday 1 April 2024 to Fri­day 5 April 2024

From Monday 1 April 2024 until Friday 5 April 2024, electrical work will be undertaken on the University’s Leek Road site in Stoke-on-Trent. To enable this work to be safely carried out, buildings across the Leek Road site will be operating on revised hours throughout the week. 

Key In­form­a­tion:

• Changes to opening times of buildings on Leek Road site including full building closures on select days between Monday 1 April to Friday 5 April 2024.. If a building is listed as closed on the below table this means that the building will not be accessible for the full day/evening.
   
• Wednesday 3 April 2024 (PM) to Friday 5 April 2024 (AM) – no WiFi service on Leek Road site with the exception of the Science Centre. Network connectivity and access to the full digital Internet/central functionality will not be restored until 10am on Friday 5 April 2024 and will remain ‘at risk’ throughout.
   
• Thursday 4 April 2024 - ALL Leek Road buildings closed (with the exception of the Woodlands Day Nursery and Forest School and Science Centre). Power is expected to be restored by 4.30pm. Information and plans for students staying in University-managed accommodation will be issued directly to students by ResLife in due course.
   
• Throughout the week the University’s College Road site will be unaffected, providing areas for staff and students to work and study.
   
• A separate electrical shutdown on College Road will take place from Monday 8 April 2024 to Friday 12 April 2024. [Full details here] 

• Please note that any bookings made via Resource Booker and via roombookings@staffs.ac.uk remain scheduled. It is the responsibility of the booker to amend or cancel activity during this period.
   
• University managed Catering outlets will continue to operate across ca mpus on the days that buildings are open however will be operating on revised Easter opening hours as per the below table.
