Please be aware of planned upcoming electrical shutdown periods on select weekends in February 2024 and March 2024.
This will affect access to buildings, study spaces and Library Creative self-service facilities on the University’s College Road site in Stoke-on-Trent.
Blackstone and Library Creative: • Closed from 6am on Saturday 17 February 2024 • Re-open from 8am on Monday 19 February 2024
Cadman Fine Arts and Cadman Courtyard • Closed from 9pm on Friday 1 March 2024 • Re-open from 8am Monday 4 March 2024
Cadman and Blackstone buildings (plus Cadman Courtyard) • Closed from 6am on Saturday 16 March 2024 (please note that the Courtyard will be closed from 12am on Friday 15 March 2024)
• Re-open from 6am on Monday 18 March 2024

• Students requiring study spaces on College Road can utilise facilities in Mellor which include the Smartzone (on the Ground floor, Quiet and Silent Study (Rooms S302 and S303) and the 3rd floor open study space. Alternative facilities are also available on our Leek Road site in The Catalyst, Library Core, Science Centre and Ashley 2 buildings.
Disruption to Library Creative Self Service facilities: On all the above dates the self-service machines in Library Creative will be unavailable from 1pm on the Friday before the shutdowns take place and will be back up and running by 10am on the Monday following the works taking place.
Students requiring access to Library self-service machines on the above dates are advised to utilise the Library Self Service facilities on the University’s Leek Road site in Stoke-on-Trent in Library Core (Ashley) and Library Catalyst (in the entrance foyer of The Catalyst).
