Academic Librarian and Skills Tutor Liz White is exploring how card game Info Dumps (based on popular game Top Trumps) helps students to develop information literacy and source evaluation skills.
There are two focus groups and it would be great to have as many students there as possible. You will be given a £20 Amazon voucher as a thank you if you attend!
If you are a University of Staffordshire student studying at L5, 6 or 7 you are invited to join us.
When and where?
Stafford: 28 October, 11.30-1pm in CH062.
Stoke: 6 November, 11.30-1pm in CA303.
There are limited places available at each location – please RSVP to secure a place.
What will it involve?
Playing the Info Dumps card game then discussing topics related to the game. Information on the research project, including how your data will be used, will be provided before the focus session begins.
Why should I attend?
The information we gather from discussions in the focus group will help us to determine if playing Info Dumps can help students to develop information literacy skills.
There will also be refreshments available and every participant will receive a £20 Amazon voucher as a thank you.
Interested?
Please email liz.white@staffs.ac.uk as soon as possible using your student email address. Title your email ‘Focus Group’ and the location you would like to attend. You will then receive an Outlook invite you can accept.
