Introduction to Systematic Review

Being asked to carry out a systematic review is an increasingly common assignment style, particularly at postgraduate level. This workshop offers an introduction to what is involved in carrying out this type of secondary research. 

 

By the end of this session you will:

  • recognise the difference between primary and secondary research;
  • understand what a systematic review is and what is involved;
  • consider the importance of designing a systematic search strategy;
  • understand the importance of inclusion and exclusion criteria
