E-Books Guide

Styles

When an e-book looks like a printed book, with publication details and page numbers, you should reference in the same way as a printed book.

However, if an e-book does not look like a printed book or include the same details as a print copy (for example, publication details, edition number, page numbers), you should include the DOI or URL instead of the name of the publisher.

For detailed guidance on referencing see the Cite Them Right section on Printed books (Harvard) and Electronic books (Harvard).

For detailed guidance see the Cite Them Right section on Electronic books (APA 7th) or the Book/Ebook References page in the APA Style Guide.
